Girl Gamer wins an Award from BASHandSlash.com

Last month, U-z-i Kidding introduced us to female gaming communities, which have been springing up around the FPS scene like spring tulips in Holland.

This month, we are proud to announce that one of the funkiest of those female gaming communities, has won our coveted Paulo88-designed BASHIE award.

Girl Gamer, which can be found at click here is a new forum for female gamers to discuss, debate and joke about what matters to them most! The forum is run by women, for women, but is also open to everyone interested in gaming.

As Norm, our BASHandSlash.com Boards moderator stated with his opinion on our contestants this month:

Girlgamer seems to me like a excellent initiative and it's something fairly new. I imagine it is a great website for female gamers who wants a break from the millions of male dominated gaming forums out there.

While too "pink" for some of our XY chromosomed senior members, Michelle ("Shell") a.k.a. "Whatsername" and the staff at Girl Gamer deserves one huge round of applause for a wonderful website and a wonderful idea.
